September has been a triumphant month for SC in the press. With the Silver Chair work for Linda McCartney earning prime coverage from the Marketing Industry. Here is just one of the articles that have appeared in the Magazines we read here at SC Towers.
Hats off to the team for this work. Even if we do say so ourselves!

Creative Director Terry and Designer Chris Blades made the journey down to the Institute of Contemporary Arts to attend the screening of the Helvetica Film. "Eighty unexpected blissful minutes" is how the Chicago Tribune describes it. Although, according to Terry it nearly turned into "half an hour of bliss" as Chris was left to organise logistics!!
Pictured above we see Chris, our resident type geek inspector, noticing some kerning issues on the film poster. All in all, a good time was had by these 2 hardcore design fans, which was all part of the 50 year anniversary of Helvetica.

It was always going to be a hard-fought contest as Biz Dev’s finest Andrew “Sport Billy” Archer came up against the Federer look alike Terry Childs.
Sadly, the comparisons with the Swiss great end at the headband and jet black hair. By the end of play, Terry (pictured) resembled a beaten man.
The gripped crowd of one man and his dog looked on as Archer and Childs exchanged powerful serve after serve, with the net taking a hammering. In the first set they shared 9 games with greedy Archer taking 6 of them. After a scare from a niggling back-injury Childs fought back in the second set. Only to be overpowered with the annoying upstart Archer triumphant, 6-2, 6-3.
Commenting after the game, Childs said “Tennis was the only winner”, he was later taken to Hemel General to be put onto a nebuliser. Expect a rematch later on in the year.

What better way to start the day than an early morning coffee splattering all over your light coloured top. That was exactly what happened to designer Jenny Lawrence when innocently making a drink (which incidentally wasn’t even for herself!).
Fortunately, nobody else was injured during this incident, although the design studio are still recovering from the fashion faux-pas of Jen walking around with only a denim jacket on until lunchtime where emergency clothing aid was sought.
