Press Cuttings

are you mobile?

We think the original onset of SPAM seriously jeopardised confidence in e-mail marketing (forgive them, for their greed for they know not what they do) and consequently has made the acceptance and spread of knowledge in the mobile marketing arena more difficult.

Good news though. Close to 100% success rates in the technical delivery of mobile campaigns, and the acceptance of an opt-in etiquette has led mobile marketing to (finally) come of age.

Helpful leverage to those with a cautious nature but whose inquisitiveness means they’re keen to integrate this kind of marketing strategy.

The growing demand and policing of opt-in databases has seen a dramatic growth in the sector allowing mutual relationships to be built, is now making mobile technology respectable.

Terry our CD “Understand the client and use common sense for best results. We don’t let novice mobile marketers get discouraged and ease them on their way – it’s an evolutionary process”

Jasmin, Daniel, Foxy, Pigface and Snowball – no, not new team members at SC but stars in the Nata Libera web site www.natalibera.org

This Italian animal rescue charity appointed us to deliver a cost effective, sustainable approach to its .org site as part of plans to grow worldwide donations and promote educational and learning facilities to schools.

The animals rescued have suffered cruelty, been injured, strayed or abandoned or have been held in captivity by people who will have to suffer a nasty afterlife. In this calm and safe environment the animals gradually return to their instinctive behaviour.

Not wishing to put any hard-working web developers out of business, we also had to make sure the site could be easy to up-date by Nata Libera’s staff – whilst letting creative flair run wild too.

Over to you Danny-Donkey…

Goodlifelogo

Terry Childs (our CD) is part of 'The Good Life…', a new initiative within the agency to explore the role music can play in digital brand communications. We will be sharing / producing music and putting on parties to explore this media and how consumers react to it and how it stimulates community communications.  The first phase of activity is the production of a Top 10 Chart of dance music old and new:

1) Billy Paul – East (Remix – Moton Edit). http://www.mediafire.com/?woxonnqmtth
One of souls top boys gets the moton treatment from a 2003 remix with a killer bassline.

2) Bim Marx – Stronger. http://www.mediafire.com/?cj5ztdlztzg
A deep house mix of Loletta Holloways 'We're getting stronger', it has the MoodyMan feel (which is meant as a compliment!).

3) De Lite – Wild Times (2009 Edit). http://www.mediafire.com/?yomimgkmwzn
An edit that brings an acid house classic bang up to date.

4) DOP – Take Me (Remake). http://www.mediafire.com/?nqjzvdzlnlw
Dub House Disco – it was a great period in music producing some great tunes, here is one that is relevant now – piano magic.

5) Runaway – Use Me. http://www.mediafire.com/?m4zdmmd1omy
Deep haunting beats with sleazy new york vocal borrowed from old Stevie V 'Dirty Cash' track! It works…

6) Seven Grand Housing Authority – The Question. http://www.mediafire.com/?t1dgj1gtjrm
A early 90's classic – Terrence Parker created one of the best piano moments in house. This rocked it back then and does now.

7) SIS – Dim Dim. http://www.mediafire.com/?jzzgwy2yoxt
The B side to the rather massive minimal hit from last year 'Nesrib'. This takes us off to Carl Craigs house of deepness.

8) The Detroit Experiment – Think Twice (Mark E Pressure Dub). http://www.mediafire.com/?oizfz5nmmiz
How do you update a timeless moment of tech-soul. Get mister edit Mark E to turn it into a 10 minute cosmic tranced out disco monster.

9) Voyage – Souvenirs (Steve Algozino Remix). http://www.mediafire.com/?otg04nwmttn
A real disco production, with strings, drums, funky guitar and a huge layer of camp! Steve Algozinos remix loses the vocals and pushes it to the credible dancefloor.

10) Will Powers – Smile. http://www.mediafire.com/?oyzwuczmywz
We all know 'Adventures in Success' but this track is a neglected bizarre gem. My anthem for 2009 – and god we need it.

We will be running a party in May and for more information join the Facebook Group http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=66706213437

Planning and a curry

Mar09 Curry

We had our quarterly agency planning session last night and then a few of us had a rather nice curry at Saffron (the best in town!). Say cheese…
