71% of “Young Folk” that’s those lucky enough still to be under 24 (oh how I wish…) use web sites to help them choose or research a brand. This is great news a) It keeps good creative types like ourselves in gainful employment but b) It really does highlight the importance of online reputations, management and visibility.
The research went even further saying that those between 12 – 24 research brands in depth on multiple websites including using blogs, just like these, before actually buying. Go on then, if you’re between 12 and 160 give us a try!.

The marvellous Island Records is 50 years old. A label that brought reggae and new wave punk/rock to the pop charts is being celebrated at an exhibition on Poland St. Well worth a look to see some amazing cover artwork and to see how their musical ethos still influences culture today.
Sophie, who is currently on a placement with us, has just had her work successfully entered in to the finals of the D&AD Student Awards 2009, in the Graphic Design direct mail category. The brief was to design an innovative piece of direct mail that raises public awareness of homelessness and the work of the homeless charity CRISIS.
Sophie has created a booklet, which was made up of a 'little book of less' and a 'big book of more'. The little book provides negative 'less' words on each page; home less, job less, use less etc, whilst the more book is full of positive words and describes all the things crisis can offer homeless people such as more freedom, more learning, more dignity etc.
Excellent strategic response to the brief, backed up by strong design – good luck Ms Buckle!

The new look Linda McCartney Foods website is live and is helping to keep Linda's ethical food at the forefront of healthy eating and veggie cuisine.
But there’s more… A Place To Share allows you to build an active relationship outside the products, exchanging recipes, cookery tips and foody knowledge, learn of latest developments and much more – including the ‘Meat Free Monday’ campaign. A delight for those of us who can’t wait to abandon Sunday’s left-overs. The UN says we can also help to cut carbon emissions by eating less meat.
We’re proud of this project; the great photos and gallery articles really reflect a sense of vitality present in the McCartney family. Visit the site at www.lindamccartneyfoods.co.uk
